Tips
Free walk-in tours are offered at noon weekdays and at 1:00 Saturdays and Sundays. From mid-June to mid-September, tours are offered at noon on Fridays only and at 1:00 on weekends. All tours meet in the Renwick Gallery lobby. To schedule a group tour, call 202-633-8550 at least three weeks in advance.
For families: ask at the information desk about the museum's scavenger hunt. Play the game to better explore the collection.
Ask at the information desk or see the museum's Web site for a calendar of free events, including conversations with artists, Family Days and musical performances.

A docent gives a tour of the highlights of the gallery. The current special exhibition may also be included in this tour.
To celebrate Women's History Month in March, Highlights tours also feature Unveiling of the Statute of Liberty, a quilt by Katherine Westphal.
