Smithsonian Affiliates are partners in a bold effort to share America's artistic, scientific and historic heritage. We are creating the network that makes you part of the Smithsonian family.

More than 155 museums and non-profit cultural and educational organizations around the country have access to Smithsonian collections and resources.

Affiliate museums collaborate with the many outreach programs and units of the Smithsonian, including curriculum development in local schools, lectures, traveling exhibitions, museum studies workshops for professional development and study tours.

Affiliate SPOTLIGHT

Antique Automobile Club of America Museum

The Antique Automobile Club of America Museum became a Smithsonian Affiliate in 2005. The Museum, located in Hershey, Pennsylvania is a neighbor to the National Headquarters of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA). It displays beautifully restored and original automobiles from eight decades in history.The collection highlights include a 19th century machine shop to a 1950s drive in movie to the present-day Golden Gate Bridge.

A walk through the galleries becomes a trip down memory lane as intergenerational stories are told of first cars, favorite cars,custom cars, high-performance cars and more. Some of the cars on view include the 1895 Chicago Motor Benton Harbor, a 1977 Chrysler Cordoba with "fine Corinthian leather" seats,and the Hershey "Kissmobile."

Upcoming exhibitions will look at vintage race cars in "America at Speed," and the rise and fall of the Tail Fin in American Automotive Design.
