How many Smithsonian museums are there?
There are 19 museums and galleries, 17 are located in Washington, D.C. and two in New York City. Learn more about each one.
When can I visit the museums?
Smithsonian Museums are open daily, seven days a week, closing only on December 25. Each Museum's hours are listed below. Click on links for more details.

How much is admission to a Smithsonian Museum?
There is no admission fee to any of the Washington, D.C.-based Smithsonian Museums or the National Zoo. In New York City, general admission to the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum is $10 ($5 for seniors and students with IDs). There is no admission fee at the George Gustav Heye Center, the National Museum of the American Indian's New York City location.

The print version of goSmithsonian can be purchased at all Smithsonian museums. The cost is $2.00. They are also available for purchase online. The goSmithsonian printed guide includes offers and coupons that are not offered in the digital version.
